(a)Public Service Radio Policy Report (group) (4,500 words). This will be produced by you and use (e.g. BBC Trust documents, newspaper articles, BBC station programme

policies and service reviews; additional readings). The report is worth 60% of the marks.

what BBC local radio stations, as types of station, are intended to achieve. You should write about (BBC Radio 1). The selection of station you examine in part one of

the report should give a good overview of the range of audiences and types of programing intended by the BBC to fulfil the public purposes of BBC radio. These

constitute its overall radio policy. write about what it aims for, and if it pleases the audiences or not. write about their programs.

All essays should reference station policy, play lists (where relevant) and specific programmes whilst making their arguments. Each essay is concerned with the public

purposes of BBC radio stations and the cultural programming supporting those public purposes
