Project description
A quantitative analysis of charitable donation collections through a variety of collection methods (i.e. door-to-door solicitations, kiosk set-ups in store fronts, e-mail and traditional mail solicitations, etc.). The analysis should include principles covering regression models, forecasting, and linear programming where applicable. The end-state is to compose a cogent analysis of the optimum method or mixture of methods for charitable donation collections for a charity considering both the efficacy and costs of the available methods. The charity (problem to be solved) can be notional or real; however, the conclusion should be rooted in actual industry data. Historical discussions concerning charitable organizations and development of quantitative analysis methodologies, and how they interrelate is also welcome. Inclusion of charts/graphs if beneficial is perfectly fine. Excel is the preferred method of regression analysis and linear programming solutions if necessary. This is in actuality a business paper, however, I chose mathematics as the subject since the most technical portion of the paper will involve understanding of aforementioned quantitative mathematical concepts
