This assignment requires students to design a quantitative study for a research question of their choice. In relation to your own dissertation, discuss and justify base on the following structure:

 

 

1. Introduction 150 words

 

2. The research question and provide a brief background that explains its merits (e.g., theoretical contribution and/or practical value) and Literature review 500 words

 

3. The hypotheses to be tested and provide a brief rationale for each; 400 words

 

4. The key variables and the instruments that will be used to measure the variables; 400 words

 

5. The sample(s) that will be used and ; 400 words

 

6. The data collection methods that will be used; 400 words

 

7. The analyses that will be used to test/examine the hypotheses; 400 words

 

8. The limitations of the study. 200 words
9. Conclusion 150 words

 

The assignment must be structured according to these tasks such that each task is used as a separate heading in the assignment.

Purpose

 

1. Demonstrate a sound understanding of the scientific method as it relates to quantitative research;
2. Outline and apply the principles of hypothesis testing;
3. Develop appropriate analytical strategies to test specific hypothesis;
4. 4. Report statistical findings, their meaning, and related recommendations in a clear and concise fashion.
