Thanks for your post. The covenant mentioned in the discussion question relates specifically to the relationship between the Jewish people and Yahweh, the god of the Jews. In the initial part of your post, you sought to show a connection between the ancient covenant and they way you believed it is applied by some people in North America. In particular, you mention the idea of American exceptionalism. Laying all this aside, what are the implications of the covenant related specifically to the Jewish people? What is the Jewish god seeking to do by establishing this covenant with Abraham and his descendants?
