Remaking Chinese Society, 1949-Present

Task: A 1000wd essay on either:
i) A theoretical/ideological notion used during the history of the People‟s Republic of China (e.g. “class struggle”, “revisionism” etc.), or
ii) The life or historical role of a leading personality of the PRC (with the exception of Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping)
The essay should show critical reflection on the subject, and the critical use of at least five English-language scholarly sources.
