be the most important elements of IHR and giving recommendations as to how these elements could be effectively incorporated into their cultural training programmes.

11. Assessment criteria

This assessment seeks to assess the following:

– Your ability to locate and engage with academic materials
– Your ability to present a critical account of academic literature
– Your ability to relate academic materials to lecture content
– Your ability to apply content to real organisations

Your submission should be written in a report format (1400 words).

– Your briefing might include but not be limited to the following issues: styles of management, the creation of cross-cultural teams, attracting & recruiting

employees, training employees for expatriate assignments, national negotiating styles and training employees for the challenges of cross-cultural management, etc.
– Your recommendations should be clearly supported by references to academic literature

well-structured work which demonstrates a clear understanding (through detailed analysis) of the various matters covered by the cultural briefing, for logical

consistency, elegant argumentation and a high standard of presentation. makes exceptionally well justified recommendations with reference to readings and cases studied

on this module. At this level, a critically reflective perspective should be evident, for example, by showing how best practice is based on learning from some of the

experiences of companies discussed in this module
