Research Paper;better understanding of the science of psychology

Order Description

Research Paper

You will be required to write a two page paper based on your reading and analysis of a research article. Each writing assignment should take about 1 hour and if

successfully completed will be worth 1 hour of credit. Remember total credits to complete is 3 hours/3 credits which means you need to write total of 3 papers.

One objective of Psychology 105 is to provide students with a better understanding of the science of psychology. Hence, you are required to complete 3 hours/3 credits

of research participation worth a total of 75 points (or 8.82% of your final grade). No partial credit is granted. In other words, if you complete 3 credits you will

earn 75 points but if you only complete 2.5 credits, you will receive no points.

You can choose from a list of 8 departmental-approved articles to write your research summary. Article summaries must be turned in no later than the Friday prior to

the start of final exams.

In 2 single-spaced pages (12 point font, 1-inch margins), this summary must address:

question(s) the researchers were trying to answer and why this was an important question(s) (the purpose and hypothesis of a study)
participants/subjects in the study
independent and dependent variables of the study
important findings and if the researchers’ hypothesis was supported
implications of this finding.

Remember to use your own words to write these summaries and avoid plagiarizing. Do not copy the brief article summary (called the abstract) or a summary of another

student.

No credit will be given if the summary is inaccurate, unclear, or plagiarized. Plagiarism will make you subject to penalties described in the WSU Student Conduct Code.

Please submit Article Critiques under Assignments –> Article Critiques as a doc, rtf, or pdf file. You may also copy and paste your critique in the box.
