In the light of your experience as a stakeholder on Laputare, and discussion about different types of organisations throughout this module:
• Identify a company or organization, critique its approach to CSR drawing on relevant theory, and assess the challenges of working for this organization with reference to your own personal values.

1: Identify a company or organisation that you may already know you want to work for, or one that interests you. Why are you interested in this particular company or organisation? Do you have family/friends already working there? Does it have a good reputation? Is this your particular area of interest?

2: Undertake some research on its approach to CSR, with reference to underpinning theory on responsible management. Now critique the company/organisation approach in the light of what you know and understand about best practice identified in the literature (student workbook readings and independent research) and associated frameworks eg Global Compact, PRME.

3: Reflect on your own personal values in the light of discussions during the module. Where do your own values originate? Think about how did you feet representing the interests of your stakeholder group on Laputare? If your professional role conflicted with your personal values how would you cope with this challenge?

4: In the light of what you know about your chosen company/organisation, and after reflecting on your own values, assess whether you would like to work for this organisation. Do the organisational values, reputation and field of operation fit with your own values? If there are differences, do you still wish to work for them? How would you reconcile any differences in values?
