In a rule based system, how can equity be justified?

Basically the question that needs to be answered is: In a rule-based legal system how can equity be justified? The lecturer wants to see what justice is in this paper aswell.

The only materials you will need will be uploaded for you. As this question requires me to address the content we have studied and provide content reasons supporting my perspective.
