Sacred and Taboo beliefs in society

consider these two statements about education from the Report of the Platform Committee. Implicit in this statement are principles that the committee believes sacred and ideas that the committee thinks should be taboo. Comment on the characteristics of the person the committee would have the schools create. How would that person relate to his or her society? Would there be implications for repression and alienation? Finally, if you like, discuss of any other aspect of our culture that is held sacred or taboo and has consequences for the development of the person?
