Safety in the Science Classroom

Description: Create a presentation to introduce the topic of safety in science activities and a plan for monitoring and reinforcing safety rules throughout the year.
Include the following in your presentation: · Classroom diagram of furniture (desks, tables, storage, etc.) paying particular attention to safety. · Safety
rules (who to contact for spills, emergency numbers, etc.) · Legal responsibilities of the teacher · Federal and state legislation related to safety ·
Materials needed Also, create (this means that it should be original and written by you, not borrowed from a book, text, website, etc.) a one-page safety
contract (you may use Microsoft Word) for students and parents to review and sign that could be used in your classroom.
