This is an scholarship essay. Please answer each question separately based on my memo. You can add whatever you want as long as it is applicable and realistic. You may delete or edit my memos if that does not make sense or applicable. Thank you.

For better understanding, this is an example to the question #2 (community service):

Community service has been particularly beneficial to my holistic development since it has enabled me to appreciate the various challenges that I had for a long time taken for granted. Upon realizing that my church was experiencing challenges in its music and praise department, I saw it useful to offer my time and skill as a pianist. By doing so for years, I have learnt on how to interact with different people from diverse cultural backgrounds thereby greatly developing my interpersonal skills. Additionally, I have been provided with the ideal platform through which to nature my team playing skills which are equally important in the business environment.

1.Describe your financial contribution to your education. If you have overcome hardship or endured a significant sacrifice for your education please explain (180-250 words).

-gratefully, received financial aid for this semester

– however, has to take care of 4-year-old daughter, so had hard time to balance part-time job as an assistant bookkeeper (to pay her daycare expenses), school work, and being a mother.

-All of my family members are living outside of US. cannot get a support from them.

2. Describe your involvement in community service. (180-250 words)

– currently volunteering as a tax preparer through VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. Assisting local foreign scholars with their federal and state tax returns since last year.

3. Describe your career goals. (180-250 words).

-got a full-time offer from a public accounting firm. Will be working as a tax staff in Boston office.

-career goal is becoming a successful CPA(Certified Public Accountant). -currently studying for CPA. planning to pass CPA within one year.

-after entering the firm, would like to develop my specialty in the tax field and be recognized as the best in that field.

4. Please describe why you believe you deserve a School of Management scholarship.

(180-250 words).

• I have a solid GPA, I studied hard and did my best to achieve academic success ( 4 scholarships, almost always on dean’s list) even though I had to balance studying , working, and raising my daughter.
• I tried contribute to communities
• I believe that having been offered a full-time job upon graduation shows me that I am on the right track.
