Spinal nerves are mixed nerves, which mean that they carry the axons of both sensory, and motor neurons within the nerve sheath. However, cranial nerves can be sensory, motor or both.
Using the Trigeminal and Facialnerves as examples, briefly describe the sensory and motor aspects of their function, how these different nerve functions can be assessed and what the outcome would be if these nerves were damaged.
