Description: For your second paper, using Animal Studies: An Introduction and The Dreaded Comparison, please analyze the ethical problems with non-human slavery
and abuse in light of power and victimization. Consider the following questions: Do you find Spiegel’s argument to be convincing? Does the comparison
with human slavery intensify the horrors inflicted on non-human animals? Why or why not? What prevents Spiegel’s argument from being racist,
considering the use of animal comparisons as racist insults? Do you think law and policy can change regarding legal abuse of non-human animals as
commodities, similar to the way laws have changed regarding human slavery (Waldau can come in handy here)? Did Spiegel’s argument change your
views about the way we treat non-human animals, and if so, how? If not, what are your views? Religion played a significant role in justifying human
