Citing References:
When citing monograph references like commentaries, textbooks, etc., in the text of your paper, enclose the author’s/authors’ last name(s) in parenthesis followed by a comma, a single letter “p” for a single page; a double letter “pp” followed by a period for “page” or “pages,” for example: (Wiersbe, p. 15); (Smith and Jones, pp. 35-41).
When citing dictionary or encyclopedia references in the text of your paper, use the title of the dictionary or encyclopedia’s title, the abbreviation of the Latin phrase, s.v. (for “sub voce,” meaning “under the word”), and the title of the article referenced exactly as it appears in the dictionary or encyclopedia. For example, Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary, s.v. “OBADIAH, BOOK OF.”

In Microsoft Word you can click on “Page Layout” then “Line Numbers” then “Restart each page” to have the line numbers displayed on the left; of course, when everything is lined up, you want to go back and take the line numbers off by selecting “Line Numbers” then “ None.”)

Research Project

Your paper is to be 6-7 typewritten pages and submitted as double spaced, in Times New Roman 10 point font, with one inch margins all around. It should have a title page with the name of your paper on line twelve exactly two inches from the top, a submission statement beginning on line twenty-four, a course fulfillment statement beginning on line forty, and your name and date flush with the bottom margin of the page (the title page does not count toward the length of the paper). The paper shall also have a Works Cited Page containing all the authoritative references cited in the paper in correct bibliographical format. A minimum of twenty works cited are required for the paper (the Works Cited Page does not count toward the length of the paper). Only two websites may be cited as references for the paper. Please be sure also to number the pages of the body of your paper. This assignment will be evaluated in terms of: (1) the systematic treatment of the topic chosen or assigned; (2) the clarity of the written presentation; (3) the quality of the content of the paper; (4) college level writting skill sets (correct grammar, subject-verb agreement, capitalization, punctuation, etc.); (5) your inclusion of the minimum number and appropriate types of high quality reference sources; and (6) your adherence to the proper form of referencing authoritative sources.
Also, research projects will be checked using online resources to insure that no plagiarism has occurred. Students are urged to carefully document all sources used in the completion of their paper in order to avoid any appearance of plagiarism
