Sense and Sensibility” by Jane Austin

My aim is to analyze chapter (XXVII) of the novel “Sense and Sensibility” by Jane Austin, vol. 735 p. 146, year of publication (1864), Comparing this chapter with its parallel chapter in a simplified edition by the Editors: Jennifer Bassett and Christine Lindop, Oxford University Press, 2008. Stage 5
By comparing the two versions, I’d like to investigate:
1-    How can grammatical rules change overtime? Why? And in which aspects this change takes place?
2-    Does the quality of readers control the language style?
3-    Were Austin’s society readers different from the current readers?
4-    Does vocabulary extinction occur overtime?

Refer to theories needed to support the aim of the research.
The structure will be as the following:
1-    Introduction/background
2-    Literature review
3-    Objectives
4-    Research Questions
5-    Methodology
6-    Significance
7-    Conclusion
Use (in-text) and (end) references.
Not more than 1000 words.
I am not sure how I can classify my research!! Could be under either it is syntactic analysis! Discourse analysis! Pragmatics! Or something else?! You can help me to narrow the research to be specific in one linguistic area.
