Short essay for novel

The theme of this course has been personae, which literally means ‘masks’ or ‘characters.’ We’ve encountered passages throughout the semester where characters reveal themselves in moments of action, thought, or speech. Identify one moment from “The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao” where a character reveals him or herself to another character or the reader. Perform a brief close reading (close reading means: select ONE passage and analyse two to three places of word choice, phrasing etc. ）and explain why this revelation of character is significant (to the story, character, concerns of the text, etc.).
