Tom Harris’s book Silence of the Lambs. The goal of this paper is for you to utilize the profiling techniques described throughout the course and apply them to the main killer portrayed in this fictional depiction of a serial killer. In this essay the student should read the book or watch the movie and profess what type of killer (i.e., visionary, mission-oriented, hedonistic, lust, thrill, comfort, power/control) the character is, then provide evidence from the book/movie to support his or her argument. The student should then utilize case studies discussed throughout the course of real serial killers and show how Tom Harris may have been influenced by these real-life killers in his depiction of a serial killer
