Paper instructions:
After Reading Box 11.4 “Social Policy: what do you think?” Choose one of the following 3 topics to discuss, based on the lecture and chapter reading:

1-By focusing on preparing students for standardized math and reading tests, will public education in the US become so narrowly focused that it sucks the joy out of learning (Ravitch, 2010)?

2- Insofar as the new policy aims to improve school quality rather than enrich the learning environment of disadvantaged children outside of and before school, is it doomed to failure?

3-In general, can educational reform reshape the stratification system?
