Solution to juvenile delinquency caused by family context

Solution to juvenile delinquency caused by family context

Videos, Interviews, Figures/graphs, Images/Pictures that you analyze!!!!! At least 8 modals.
You have to analyze sources you use, need citations.
Here is a website I’ve found with some programs, you may choose from these programs or find other credible solutions.

As you research and evaluate various sources, and as you draft, craft and organize your thoughts and evidence, you will at some point have to make a decision to advocate for specific solutions to a significant and current political/social/cultural problem. In other words, your arguments for advocating such solutions and the analytical reasons you provide for why you have chosen these solutions will together, after weeks and weeks of diligent engagement, become a richly-textured thesis statement.

Please read below!!!!

The social problem I choose is juvenile delinquency caused by family context, thus you will do some research to find a solution to you. You are NOT going to compose a solution on you own, you have to find solutions developed by creditable organizations or governments.

As the instructor’s requirement, the intro outline is:
1.Emphasize the harm being done by this problem, thus establishing why it must be solved NOW- sure another anecdote- Pathos
2.Summarize the W’s (use a little data—2 citations- to establish scope of problem) (W’s: what the problem is/ who is affected/ when and where/ why the problem develops and why it has to be solved)
3.Introduce the “solution,” highlighting and summarizing why it is the best course of action
4.Establish the credibility of the organization, group, or person behind the law, policy, or course of action you are advocating for

Then followed by two cause paragraphs:
1. Show how the “solution” you are advocating for COUNTERACTS the cause
2. DO NOT just repeat the bulk of the cause paragraph and then tack on the solution at the end
3. Summarize the most important parts of your cause paragraph, then analyze how your solution is going to NEGATE or ATTACK or UNDERMINE those causes
4. Topic sentences should quickly identify the cause and then explain HOW the solution will solve this.

Then follows Cost and Benefit Paragraphs, below are some sample TS:
1. “While solution X will cost roughly 10% of the California state budget to implement and execute, the social benefits created by the plan include X, Y, and Z and justify the expense to taxpayers.”
2. “Solution X will probably not help members of the affected population who are under the age of 35, but it will benefit the vast majority of those impacted by accomplishing X, Y, and Z.
3. “Solution X is the ideal course of action at this time because the cost associated it with it will be defrayed by Y, and over the next 10 years the state will likely recoup their investment through Z income.
