Specialization Research: Issues and Trends in Leadership and Organizational Change

Regardless of your specialized area of study, you will encounter certain common components of good research as you transition from practitioner to scholar. Among these components is a research focus on current issues affecting the discipline as well as current and future trends within the field of Leadership and Organizational Change. Good research adds value to the body of knowledge by contributing findings to one (and often both) of these components.

For this assignment, conduct a review of the attached literature (see attached files) within the specialized area of study of Leadership and Organizational Change. The attached literature (see attached files) relates to current issues, trends, and elements of social change within the field of Leadership and Organizational Change. Then attached files are what I believe address gaps, issues, and trends within the Leadership and Organization Change specialization.

Based on this literature review, develop a cohesive and scholarly essay that addresses the following:

What are some of the gaps in the current research? What are some of the current issues and trends of the research within your selected specialization of Leadership and Organizational Change? Be sure to cite the research that you reference.

Does it appear that positive social change has been addressed by the research? If so,  how? Again, be sure to cite the specific journal articles that you are referencing.

By the end of this week, you will be able to:
•    Define positive social change in both personal and professional contexts
•    Assess the significance of contributing to positive social change within your specialized area of study of Leadership and Organizational Change
•    Analyze the relationship between research within the specialization and driving positive social change
•    Evaluate gaps in the research literature, current issues/trends, and future directions within the specialization
