Q. What is your basic motivation in life?

Further, the law of karma says that all phenomena arise interdependently.

If everything is impermanent and arises interdependently, then everything could affect everything else and nothing truly exists independently.

From a Buddhist point of view, nothing that arises and decays has true self-existence (something truly exists only when it is permanent, independent, and singular).

Consider a frustrating or bad circumstance you have.  How could you use it to wake yourself up and be compassionate to others?
