The Retrograde operations from both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars is a complicated process that many do not tend to understand. The mere logistical nightmare of just planning seems to be the constant struggle because of the multitude of factors that are changing on a daily basis. It is not a simple pick up the tank and throw in on an airplane concept, but rather one that includes communication, following regulations, and returning parts to the correct location. In relation to supply chain management, the retrograde operations occurring overseas could take some notes from how a supply chain gains success and how it deals with failures.
