b) The research variable will be the difference

c) Research question: Is the average Mechanical Engineer salary higher in Minneapolis, Minnesota than in Dubai

d) Expected result: I predict that Dubai will have a higher salary. This is based on the fact that Dubai has a higher cost of living.
