Naive web based sources (wikipedia,
great buildings online), though easy to locate, are inferior and therefore not
respected in scholarly writing, so they must be avoided (certainly for precision and credibility).
Ebooks and eJournal articles through the library are better (if it has an ISSN or ISBN it is
likely peer-reviewed); printed
journal articles and books are the best for architectural history
All citations and paraphrases need proper footnotes of sources (author, title, page). Follow Chicago Manual of Style
(15th ed.) for formatting FOOTNOTES. No extra cover page is needed, but a bibliography page is required
