This semester The Altman Center is presenting an exciting series of lectures that are addressing the topic of The Anthropocene: A New Era in Human-Environment Relations. Many scientists are now calling our present epoch the Anthropocene, meaning that the Earth is transitioning out of the Holocene due to the greatest changes that are occurring on the planet are now human caused Anthro rather than by actual geologic forces. You are required to attend any two of the lectures listed or part of the conference on Apr. 9-10 EXCEPT Bill McKibben (See below).
