The development of Telemachus’s character
Topic:In Book ? of “The Odyssey”,
Athena reassures Telemachus “You know, few sons turn out to be like their fathers, /Most turn out worse, a few better. /No, you don’t have it in you to be a fool or a coward, /And you’ve got something of Odysseus’s brains”(p349). Compare the contrast Telemachus’s journey with that of Odysseus. How does the younger man’s experience enable him to develop such a character.
