The effects Americans are having on the global environment

Paper instructions:
Write a critical essay in which you discuss the effects Americans are having on the global environment. Some questions to ponder: How has consumption affected the environment? How will climate change affect rich countries vs. poor countries? How is America responsible for overdrawing the earth’s resources? Are Americans responsible for a much larger percentage of environmental damage than other countries? Who should take responsibility for the effects of climate change? Are the messages sent by companies and environmental groups about “going green” and recycling effective? Why or why not?
