The Evolution of Policing
Many sweeping local and national events or incidents have shaped the evolution of American policing. These can include critical incidents, national disasters, changes in laws/public policy, or conduct violations by public officials or law enforcement officers.

For this discussion identify two such events that have shaped the evolution of policing. They can be current events or historical events that have happened in the last 25 years. You should not have the same events as your classmates and are encouraged to be creative in your thinking. identify the event or incident and state the positive or negative (or both) of the effects it had on policing. Explain the incident, what happened and where it occurred. Next, what impact did this have on policing? Do you feel the impact has helped or hurt policing? Support your thoughts with examples.
