1. Maternal Health and Reproductive Choices: No Woman, No Cry – This documentary focuses on devastating health consequences of pregnancy and childbirth for many women around the globe. Some things to examine would be role of woman as breeder, access to proper maternal health facilities, treatment of women in health care and access to contraception and abortion

2. Family and Marriage Equality – The Kids Are All Right – This film explores both family structure and women and work. It features 2 women as married partners raising 2 children. Some things to examine would be the idea of marriage equality, children being raised in gay households, household division of labor, power dynamics among couples, the lack of male role model.

3. Women’s Work and Sexual Harassment – North Country – This film is a fictionalized account of the first major successful sexual harassment case in the United States. Some things to examine would be women’s fight for equality in the workplace, entitlement of men in male centered employment, the gender pay gap, the plight of single mothers, living in poverty, adequate childcare.
