5. Most importantly, HOW has this text challenged you in your thinking? If this text has in any way CHANGED your views on anything in life, HOW SO? If it hasn’t changed your thinking, how has it perhaps strengthened already existing views? (This can be a positive or ‘negative’ view of the text; you don’t have to choose a text that you agree with.)
6. Lastly, has this text and class, in general, encouraged you to do further reading or thinking? What would you like to think about/pursue next in your intellectual life? (This could form a sort of conclusion to your essay.)

TIPS ON STRUCTURE:
I would like for this essay to be structured in a traditional way (i.e. with an introductory paragraph, various body paragraphs with good transitions, and a concluding paragraph). Once you begin ‘brainstorming’ and working out your thoughts, look over your work frequently and PLEASE begin this thinking/outlining/thought process early!

Again, please ensure you used reputable, academic sources, ideally texts found in the library and/or from online (library) databases. If you do use websites, please use reputable sources (i.e. NO WIKIPEDIA, only sites which are scholarly, for example sites with .org, .gov, or .edu and the like).
• Typed using either Times New Roman, Calibri or Cambria fonts (please use one of these fonts only)
• 12 point scale
• 1.5 or double-spaced
• All margins no larger than 1 inch in width (that is, top, bottom and sides)
• Approximately 4 full pages in length (and no more than 5 at most, please)
• Proper grammar, spelling, sentence structure and essay structure throughout; proper citation of all sources (using MLA, APA or another scholarly format – just be consistent).
