3. You need to conduct your analysis using economic tools and concepts and provide clear explanations. You will need to use at a minimum 4 distinct economics concepts we have studied in this class in your analysis. In addition, you may be drawing upon economic concepts you have studied during the program. Please feel free to draw on insights from other disciplines to support your analysis, but the core analysis should be grounded in economics. Supply, demand and market equilibrium in a graph constitute one concept. If you discuss 3 factors that impact elasticity of demand that is one concept – not three concepts. Country specific factors such as GDP, GDP growth rtae, population, income distribution are all grouped as one concept. I think you see from these examples what using 4 distinct concepts mean.
6. Can you use data / graphs/charts etc to make your case? You need not conduct an econometric analysis using Stata.
7. What are the policy implications of your analysis?
8. Please include your references and acknowledge all sources clearly.
9. A paper that references only writings in the popular press will not constitute an acceptable paper.
10. I will not answer questions about whether you are using the correct concepts in your paper. This is a final exam.
11. The paper should use Time New Roman 12 font; 1.5 spaced; length 12 pages of which at least 9 should be your written analysis, and 1 page for references. Tables, graphs, charts and references that exceed 3 pages should be placed in an Appendix.
