Presentation speech notes
You will deliver your argument synthesis paper in a 4 to 5 minute presentation. The purpose of the presentation is to persuade your audience that your thesis is valid. Simply reading your paper, however, is not allowed. Think of Sir Ken Richardson’s presentation (TED TALK) as a model for your presentation: you should have an introduction, make a clear thesis statement, and proceed to prove your thesis using specific examples and evidence.
Grading Criteria:
INTEREST: How do you get and keep your audience’s attention?
THESIS: Your thesis needs to be clearly stated.
SPECIFIC EXAMPLES and EVIDENCE 2 or 3: You must provide sufficient evidence (cited texts, specific examples, observations…) to prove your thesis.
ANALYSIS: Your presentation should show evidence of critical thinking. Ask and answer the hard questions like “why?”, “so what?”, and “why should we care?”
Place an order in 3 easy steps. Takes less than 5 mins.
