Thermal bridging (Thermal performance of facades)
Project description
This assignment is more based on illustrations that show and explain the idea.
– First question:Point out all the thermal bridges on Fig 2a and discuss their consequences, this should be in the form of arrows on the provided image that allocate
all the thermal bridges, then points explaining why are these considered thermal bridges?
The second part of the question is,where will the min internal surface occur this should be in the form of an arrow which points out the exact place of the minimum
internal temp.
– The second question: How would you recognize a thermal bridge from a temperature distribution and heat flux diagram? , this should be in the form of 2 Figures
showing both (temp. distribution and heat flux) and pointing out (in words or labeles) how to recognize or read them correctly?
– Third question: How the effect of thermal bridge could be reduced in 4 element of the building (a,b,c and d) .. These points are written in the attached file- should
be answered with a written and illustration discussion.
