Gap Analysis Assignment
This project is the Capstone assignment of this course. It is designed to blend your previous knowledge base with the knowledge you acquired in this class.
Write a 12 page (excluding title page, abstract, and references) gap analysis (strategy to performance) of a Homeland Security related organization (U.S. Customs and Border Protection). What the organization claim to do or what is the organization mandated to do, and how effective is it at performing to its expected level? It will be helpful for you to research gap analyses on the web to learn more about how to conduct one.
Your paper must include a minimum of 6 credible references, which must be cited within the text of the paper and in a reference list. 1 of the 6 references must come from a peer-reviewed journal article (not” websites, reports, trade magazines, newspapers, etc.).

Your paper must include the following components:

1. APA Title Page
2. Abstract (150 to 250 words/block format)
3. Introduction and Background
4. A Body (include citations, page headers, any headings, etc.) that includes the following section titles:
a. Organization Requirements or Mandates
b. Current Performance Effectiveness
c. Gap Analysis – identify and concisely articulate the specific gap (what is required/expected versus reality) in the first paragraph of this section and then explain the gap in detail – this is most significant section of the paper and must be a minimum of 3-pages long.
5. Recommendations to address the gap
6. Conclusion
7. APA Reference list
