QUESTION #1. If someone were to ask you to describe today’s American culture, how would you respond? What are some elements of culture that reflect modern American society and what are some traditional cultural traits that can still be seen?

Please address both positive and negative aspects in your answer.
For the international students in the class, how do you see American culture (currently and historically), and how is it seen in your country in general?

Question #2: Using the Internet (or other sources) for simple research, describe some historic occurrences that have transpired in your hometown or the city where you currently live. How did the area first become settled? What are some well-known historical that have events occurred there? Be sure to post some photos or other images to illustrate your findings.
