Weather
Choose two methods of
weather forecasting and create either a
Word table or an Excel spreadsheet with predictions for the upcoming week, one that you use now (the local news or the Weather Channel) and one that you have never used before (perhaps the Farmer’s Almanac or the
Meteorology Department website at a local college).
Be sure to predict at least the following items: precipitation, wind speed (none, mild, moderate, high, extreme), cloud pattern, and humidity.
You may wish to add other items to your predictions, such as pollen or allergy index, UV-index, heat index or wind chill.
As the week passes, mark down the actual weather for that day. Which method of prediction was more accurate? Why do you think this is?
