Week 10 PoA Progress Report

Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements

This is a quarterly progress report for PhD dissertation phase. My progress for this quarter has been on target. Met the goal plan for successful topic approval(section 2) of research proposal this quarter, and currently working on Milestone #3 (section 3) research methodology and data collection, currently completing revision on the areas noted for revision by mentor. see uploaded research plan for reference. goal is to continue working on section 3 of the research plan to meet the standard required for the study, get approval and move on to subsequent milestones #4, 5 etc. off quarter break,will continue to study literature to broaden and deepen knowledge of the study, continue effort on getting site approval from the Boston city police commissioner and interview schedule with study participant.

Week 10 PoA Progress Report
Submit this assignment the last week of the quarter. The assignment serves several purposes:
• The assignment provides an opportunity for you to document your accomplishments toward milestone completion this quarter. Your mentor will use the information in the assignment to help evaluate your progress on the Day 1 Plan of Action (PoA) assignment. The progress you have made will be the basis for a Satisfactory or Non-satisfactory grade this quarter.
• Your PoA progress report should inform your plan for next quarter.
Instructions for completing the assignment:
Resubmit your approved Plan of Action (PoA) from your Day 1 assignment, including responses to the following questions:
1. Identify what you accomplished this quarter on your PoA.
2. Identify what you did not accomplish this quarter on your PoA. Then, specify the barriers that prevented you from completing these areas of the PoA.
3. Considering the barriers you identified, how will you minimize them in order to stay on track with your PoA next quarter?
4. What will you be doing over the quarter break to advance your progress?
5. To what extent are you on track with your long-term goals to complete your dissertation?
6. What support do you need from your mentor to achieve your goals for next quarter?

Activity Weighting
Met the terms of the quarterly progress plan as described in the Day One Plan of Action assignment (if the plan has been revised with mentor approval, use the revised plan to assess this item). Note: Learners whose dissertation work falls below expected standards are also not considered to have met the terms of their plan. 40%
Communicated progress with mentor at least every two weeks through the courseroom or scheduled phone conferences. 10%
Demonstrated satisfactory responses to, and integration of, feedback (for example, demonstrating an ability to understand, process, and incorporate requested revisions). 10%
Applied doctoral-level critical thinking skills (such as synthesizing information, supporting ideas and concepts with evidence from the literature with sound logic and good flow). 10%
Demonstrated doctoral-level research knowledge and skills required to complete the dissertation (such as developing a methodological approach or data analysis to address the research questions). 10%
Demonstrated effective and professional doctoral-level writing skills required to complete the dissertation (such as appropriate use of APA style, grammar, spelling, citations). 10%
Demonstrated good time management (for example, met agreed upon deadlines or communicated valid reasons why deadlines were not met.) 10%
