Now that the project charter has been approved by the Project Sponsor and the Executive Team the next step in Whitley’s Project Management Methodology is the “Project
Plan”.
As the Project Manager, you must now develop the project plan to finish the project by June 30th 2013. The project plan will be used to present the detailed parameters
of the project for signoff by the Project Sponsor and Executive Team of Whitley’s Deli. If these detailed parameters of the project are accepted, then the project may
proceed to the project execution phase.
The project plan must contain the following sections:
1. The document purpose
2. A brief description of the background to the project
3. A definition of the project’s scope
4. A justified project time estimate
5. A task list (showing task names and deliverables)
6. An activity on node network (AON) diagram showing the sequence of the tasks identified
7. The project’s risk management strategy
8. The project’s monitoring and control strategy (meetings, reports, project control structure)
9. Summary and Recommendations
