Why study Philosophy of religion

Yes, it is, indeed, a very wide topic. This is to give you the opportunity to choose how you tackle it. Since you only have a very limited number of words, I would suggest that you focus on one book or article – maybe Trakakis, or one of the items he lists in his bibliography – along with maybe three or four secondary sources, and that you use these to work up to your own conclusion. I would include a brief definition of ‘philosophy of religion’, which will inevitably require you to define its component parts, but focus mainly on the argument/s you intend to analyse. If you can offer your own argument, provided that you do this well, it should increase your mark.
