Part 2
Assessment Task 2: Progressive Workplace Project Status Reports – Word Limit 1,000 – 1,200 words for each report (2 project status reports)

Following formal approval to proceed with your project, you are required to commence your project and produce two Project Status Reports.

As communication procedures vary between organisations, there is no set structure or format for the reports and dot points are acceptable. However, these reports should be of a professional standard which would be suitable to submit to a board of management.

As a guide, it is expected that your reports will at least cover following:
? Project name
? Business Name
? Date of status report
? Project progress, including highlights
? Project performance (you are encouraged to use a colour code to assist in demonstrating your project performance)
? Issues – categorized
? Timeline details
? Budget status
? Planned deliverables/activities for the next/or remaining time period
? Review of risks

At the conclusion of your status report, you are required to reflect critically on the progress of your project. Your reflections also do not need to be completed in formal report format. However, where you refer to business theories, you are required to cite your sources of information following the APA and include a list of references.

It is important to note that only a very small percentage of this section of your report would be description of project events. The purpose of the critical reflection is to demonstrate your ability to learn from your experiences and draw connections to academic theory.

You will need to examine the reasons for events that occur; your successes/failures and consider how your approach might differ in the future.
