Islam – In this essay, you should pick two of the “5 pillars” of Islam and describe them in detail. Be sure to note any variations that occur or differences in practice between men and women. Additionally, be sure to describe the role that the Koran plays in these practices and the manner in which Muslims relate the particular practice to the life of the Prophet Mohammad.

Judaism – Moses is still very much alive in Judaism. Explain the relationship of Moses to the Jewish canon and liturgical cycle. How is the prophet still a “living presence” in Judaism and how do contemporary Jews connect to the sacred through the prophet Moses?
