1. Write a paper about the American Civil War and make a argument for why it was necessary.  It must be double-spaced (Times New Roman, font size 12), and include a cover page with your name, course number and course title, instructor’s name, and date.
2. Paper should include a thesis statement, and a narrative and conclusion that defends that argument.

Paper must use at least 3 sources from  National Archives Experience.   (www.digitalvaults.org). This is the only acceptable source and must be listed in the reference section along with the in-text citation.
