5)    Create a research journal that develops the logos and your understanding of the topic.
6)    Use paraphrase, summary, and quotations to integrate source material into the essay. Use quotations sparingly, allowing the ethos to dominate the voice of the essay.
7)    Develop adequate context of sources in the body of the essay.
8)    Create a properly formatted Works Cited page that matches the entries in the body.
9)    Develop appeals to pathos, illustrating an awareness of the audience.
