I will provide some articles to read and solve the key Items as a study guide 1) utilitarianism, how Bentham and Mill disagree about happiness; deontology, how deontology differs from utilitarianism; virtue ethics, and how virtues are developed; 2) how the Japanese government fights obesity; why the author thinks the US couldn’t use its strategy; other strategies for government, and why they might work in the US; 3) the Chinese confucian approach to truth telling in medicine; its difference from Western paternalism; how it can be made ‘morally plausible’ by understanding the Confucian tradition, and how it “appreciates the moral realities fundamental to human life”.
