Top Ten Film Literature

Create a fully annotated Top Ten list. The annotation has to be in “my” own words (cough) and should clearly show why the film is on my list. I’ve chosen the top ten Pixar movies: 10 – The Incredibles, 9 – Ratatouille, 8 – A Bugs Life, 7-Finding Nemo, 6-Monsters University, 5-Wall-E, 4-Cars, 3-Monsters, Inc., 2 Toy Story, 1- Up. There has to be an enlightened paragraph of substantiating evidence for each fil’m inclusion, based on the film qualities discussed during semester (I’ll provide vocabulary list of terms), Why the particular film is included in the particular position of my ranking order (I put them in the order I like so you just have to create some reason that pulls together film analysis and me LOVING the film. They are not looking for a summary of the film’s plot, we have to use some criteria from the six categories: photography, miss en scene, movement, editing, sound, and acting. We have to BOLD or underline characteristics of the film based on materials from the course (the vocabulary list will be provided so you can work some of the terminologies into the paper), such as specific editing techniques or styles, types of shots, etc. The characteristics must support why the film belongs on my list. I have to CLEARLY explain in detail why each film belongs in such a lofty position of top ten. The breakdown of grading will be: 40 points for annotation, 15 points for Display (I’ll be taking the paper and creating a scrapbook with pages for the 10 films so you don’t need to worry about that), Presentation 5 points, for a total possible 60 points. I need the best grade possible because I need to pass this class in order to graduate, and could really use a homerun but don’t have time to pull this together. The top ten list is suppose to be focused, so I suspect there needs to be a common thread throughout all films that will tie them together – I suspect probably through mise en scene as they are all animated and digitally created. Again, I have a vocabulary list of words that need to be worked when possible.
