AMERICAN ART FINAL EXAM Directions: I am looking for accuracy in the response and comprehensive understanding of the major characteristics of the artistic periods and/or movements asked about in each question. Grammar, spelling and the correct use of art terms will also be graded. Each response should be at about 250 words each. Each response should include at least one scholarly source beyond your textbook. Exams must be submitted BOTH in DropBox and via email. Please do not procrastinate, as technical issues with DropBox are NOT a viable excuse for a late submission. Review the list of topics below, and select TWO that interest you. You will then select an American artwork OF YOUR OWN CHOICE, and discuss how it reflects the artist’s approach in address one of the three topics. That is to say, select one artwork that connects with one topic and discuss it in depth. Use appropriate historical information and terminology to support your ideas. Cite you sources.
