Unrestricted international trade has been very criticize by public health officials because it imposes low standards for what can be traded or not, which I think should be up to the importing country s discretion as to what they want to import or not.

For completion of this week s CheckPoint II, respond to the following student s opinion with an opposing viewpoint:
When discussing the benefits of unrestricted international rate, first, lets discuss what its effects are. Unrestricted international trades are an essential part of an economic process which promotes global economic growth. International trading allows product makers to access international markets. In return, companies benefit from international labor, and take advantage of more affordable labor, which eventually increases profitability for the company as a whole. Trading allows domestic product makers to improve their products due to International competition; It also allows countries to develop peaceful relations, which eventually leads for them to learn from one another due to their exposure to international goods.
Specialization is mastering on producing or providing a specific type of product or service. Many countries become known for specializing in the production of a certain type of good by exposing themselves to the international market. By being known for specializing on a specific good or service, this causes an increase in the rate of efficiency. Many of the goods that certain countries specialize on are based on their geographic location. Examples are; Dominican Republic with the production of sugar based on their high production of sugar cane, and Cuba with the production of tobacco. These two countries geographical locations enable them to specialize in these goods, and its international trade identifies these countries in world markets as the best in these areas.
The benefits of a diversified international market, provides underperforming countries the opportunity to increase their market share, and eventually go from an underdeveloped to a on going development country. Whenever these countries isolate themselves from international trading, they completely miss out a great deal of opportunities. Unrestricted international trade has been very criticize by public health officials because it imposes low standards for what can be traded or not, which I think should be up to the importing country s discretion as to what they want to import or not.
