Your Foreign Film Review

Your instructor will be assigning you each a “foreign” or other-than-mainstream-subgroup-member film to watch and in a minimum two-page paper review it for the class by responding to the following questions:

1. What did you learn about another culture through watching your film?
2. Do you feel that that depiction was ethnically authentic or Hollywoodized?

NOTE: In order to answer this question properly you must conduct some additional internet research on the culture you observed in the movie. Without research your answer would be based on your stereotypes, and that goes against the purpose of this class. Please be sure to review and cite three sources in your paper. Don’t forget to include a references page.

3. What specifically did you like about the film that would induce you to recommend it to your friends?
4. What specifically did you dislike about the film to dissuade you from recommending it to your friends?
